Umoe Shipping and Energy is the holding company for Umoe's shipping engagements
In 1984, Knutsen OAS Shipping were reorganised with new owners. Knutsen OAS Shipping implemented its present strategy the same year, based on newbuildings with long term contracts to first class charterers. Umoe Shipping and Energy has controlled the company together with Trygve Seglem’s TS Shipping Invest. On the 17th of June 2008, TS Shipping Invest acquired Umoe Shipping and Energy’s shares in the management company Knutsen OAS Shipping and the shares in the shuttle/product and chemical tanker fleet.
Umoe Shipping and Energy still controls the LNG fleet, which consists of four vessels in operations and four newbuildings, together with TS Shipping Invest.
