The companies in Umoe covers a wide industrial range. Their common denominator is that they have all become part of the Umoe family via demanding situations in which Umoe has acquired a shareholding in them. These companies have often been in financial difficulty and Umoe has injected new capital into them. This is in line with Umoe’s philosophy of being a counter-cyclical investor.
Umoe focuses on active ownership. In 2007, Umoe initiated a management development programme in which all the entities are represented. In addition, a coordinated strategy process has been established in which all the companies take part. This work particularly focuses on good operations. We have great faith in more active ownership creating added value for Umoe’s shareholders and employees over the next few years.
