The strategy has stood firm since Umoe was founded by Jens Ulltveit-Moe in 1984.
Long-term investor: Umoe has substantial experience in restructuring and consolidation of industrial companies. We bring more to the table than just capital and we have no predefined exit for our investments.
Active ownership: Umoe believes in active owners of businesses, hence we aim to contribute to increase the profitability in the companies by smooth operations, active business development and structural changes.
Adaptability: Our credo is “The future does not belong to the largest or the strongest but to those who can adapt quickest”. We live by this and we therefore focus on the ability to adapt and adjust actively to changing market conditions.
Countercyclical: We believe the risk is lowest when others fear to invest. This demands a will to take on risk, but it also increases the potential return.
