The Umoe Group is a Norwegian investment company founded in 1984 by Jens Ulltveit-Moe
Since then, the Group has grown into one of the Norway’s largest and most successful private companies, with business interests including marine transportation, maritime equipment industries, bioethanol, electrical installation, restaurants and IT and telecoms businesses. Umoe is an active long-term owner and investor.
We aim to develop new companies through acquisition, restructuring and organic growth. We invest counter-cyclically and willingly accept the risks associated with this type of business model. Umoe contributes more than just capital to our companies. We believe in empowering the people that work for us and wish to see management as co-owners in the companies in which we invest.
Jens Ulltveit-Moe still heads up the company - as president and CEO - and owns the Group, together with his family.
